1984 - 1986 the largest bronze sculpture by Henry Moore was cast in Friedenau.
In 2010, the first fundamental restoration work was carried out in the new Am Spreebord workshop.
Over 1000 sculptures were cast for Moore in the Hermann Noack foundry. The number of casts as well as many stories and anecdotes bear witness to the close relationship between the sculptor Henry Moore and the caster Hermann Noack III.
"Hermann, you are the greatest founder!" said Henry Moore in a 1981 RIAS interview on the occasion of his last visit to our foundry.
The collaboration began in 1958 when the management of the London gallery Marlborough Fine Arts were looking for a caster for their represented artist Henry Moore. At that time (almost 60 years old), Moore was on the threshold of a massive change in his work, moving more and more towards abstraction and the ultimate smooth surfaces.
